No. Smart ConsuMeter installs after your main prepaid meter, so no approval is required. It simply shares the power you already buy among your flats or rooms.

One device per line. If four flats share one meter, you need four devices — one for each flat. Simple maths, fair electricity.

Yes. Everyone on the shared meter must pass through a Smart ConsuMeter — nobody can stay wired directly to the main meter. So if you're ready but your co-tenants aren't, the simplest option is to buy two units: one for you, and one that carries all the others together for now. That way no one bypasses the system, and each tenant can move onto their own device later.

You manage everything — allocating units, turning lines on/off, and monitoring usage — right from your phone using the Tuya / Smart Life app. (Running solar, a generator or an estate on post-paid billing? Ask us about our SelfPay version — see below.)

Most homes and single flats use single phase (up to 63A). Larger loads, big buildings or heavy machinery need three phase (up to 100A). Not sure? Message us and we'll advise.
